As a member of The Czech Federation of Photographic Art, my work was a part of our national collection for FIAP 23rd Colour Print Biennial in Ireland, Dundalk. The internet presentation for photographers
by admin on Feb.28, 2010, under news
Photoshelter? Flickr? Smugmug? Twitter? Facebook? The best blog for photographers? What to choose for a photographer’s internet presentation? For a long time I struggled with how to solve photos presentation and backuping of my photos. Photos publishing, get your photos criticized from your fans to provide close-ups for print or download and keep things running, and look good and performs all the functions, it is not entirely easy.
I like criticism, so I like my pictures to publish and track views on them, check out comments etc. I am paranoid toward the backing up, so it backs up, backs up and backs up. I tried a number of photographic services and portals, and finally I chose – I’ll try to share with you my experiences. (continue reading…)

Apple Aperture 3 available
by admin on Feb.09, 2010, under news, video
Today, Apple announced Apple Aperture 3. A long time awaited upgrade for the Apple Aperture application for professional photograhpers. We’re waiting for this update for a very long time. Some users already switched to Adobe Lightroom, but not me. And it was a really good decision to wait for Aperture 3!
The new Aperture 3 gives you powerful yet easy-to-use tools to refine images, showcase your photography, and manage massive libraries on your Mac. It’s pro performance with iPhoto simplicity.
You can find all the features on Apple.com or try the trial version! Apple Aperture 3 is fully 64bit, so finally, I can enjoy my MacPro with 8 cores and 16GB RAM. I’m curious how Aperture 3 will use this beast.
iPad – Great Apple device for photographers
by admin on Jan.28, 2010, under news
Yesterday, Apple unveiled his long time awaited device – tablet. iPad is a really wonderful device. With its crisp, vibrant display, and its unique software features, iPad is an extraordinary way to enjoy and share your photos. For example, the new Photos app displays the photos in an album as though they were in a stack. Just tap or pinch to open the stack, and the whole album opens up. Then you can flip through your pictures, zoom in or out, or watch a slideshow. You can even use your iPad as a beautiful digital photo frame while your iPad is docked or charging. And there are lots of ways to import photos: you can sync them from your computer, download them from an email, or import them directly from your camera using the Apple Camera Connection Kit.

Life: Cuba
by admin on Dec.23, 2009, under news
I love Cuba, I was there two times (1998 & 2008) and I plan the trip to Havana in the near future again. Havana is one of the most beatiful cities I’ve ever seen. Local architecture, local life, people and everything is just incredible – in the good sense.
